Product description

Two layers of natural muslin cotton, woven open so the warmth your head gives off can move through the case instead of banking up under your cheek. It's the piece of bedding you're in closest contact with all night.

Sold as a pair, standard Australian size, with an envelope closure at the end so the pillow stays in and there's no button or zip to press against. It arrives soft, crinkles a little the way natural muslin does, and gets softer with every wash.

Dimensions

48 × 73 cm, the standard Australian pillow size. Two cases per pack.

It will fit a standard or medium-profile pillow comfortably. European square (65 × 65 cm) and king (50 × 90 cm) pillows are a different size and won't fit.

Materials & care

100% natural muslin cotton, two layers. No synthetics, no coatings, no chemical "cooling" treatment. Independently tested to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 and safe for sensitive skin.

Gentle cool machine wash with a mild detergent, no bleach or fabric softener, tumble low or line dry in the shade.

Delivery & 100-Night Trial

Free standard shipping, express $19.99.

Sleep on it for up to 100 nights. If it isn't right, we'll swap your colour or size free — or refund you in full, and we pay the return postage. Email hello@finefoams.com.au and we'll reply within one business day.

Muslin cotton pillowcases in Light Grey

You wake up hot at the head first. This is where it starts.

A pillow is dense, and most cases seal it in, so the warmth your head gives off all night has nowhere to go, and you flip the pillow looking for the cool side. Two open-woven layers of muslin let that air through instead. No synthetics, nothing coated on to feel cool for a season.

Why people buy

We counted every reason buyers gave, in their own words. Softness comes first, every time, and it's the thing people least expect from a fabric they associate with baby wraps.

TL;DR

A four-pack for $20 is a poly-blend, sealed tight, worn out in a season. Ours is two layers of 100% muslin cotton, OEKO-TEX® certified, open enough to let your head's warmth escape, and it softens with every wash.

Questions before you buy

Will it fit my pillow?

It's made for the standard Australian pillow, 48 × 73 cm, and fits a standard or medium-profile pillow comfortably. If you sleep on a European square (65 × 65 cm) or a king pillow (50 × 90 cm), this isn't the right size.

Is muslin really soft, or is it like swaddling cloth?

It's the most common thing buyers worry about before ordering, and the most common thing they mention afterwards. 47% of positive reviews across our muslin range talk about how soft it turned out to be. It arrives soft and keeps softening with every wash.

Does it crinkle? Will I have to iron it?

It crinkles a little. That's the open weave of natural muslin, not a fault. Nobody irons these. If you want it flatter, take it out of the dryer slightly damp and put it straight on the pillow.

Why buy two packs?

One pack covers a standard double bed. A second means you can change the cases mid-week, the part of the bed that needs freshening most often, without stripping and washing everything.

What if it isn't right?

Sleep on it for up to 100 nights. If it isn't right, we'll swap your colour or size free — or refund you in full, and we pay the return postage. Just email hello@finefoams.com.au.
