Questions before you buy
Which size should I order?
Take the size that matches your mattress if you like a little overhang, or one size down if you'd rather it sat on the bed than draped to the floor. Our reviewers consistently advise sizing down. Several deliberately chose Queen for a King bed.
Will eight layers be too warm in summer?
The layers are what make it breathe. Muslin's open weave holds small air pockets that release heat when you're warm and hold it when you cool down, so the same blanket works through an Australian summer and into winter.
Is it really soft, or is it like swaddling cloth?
It arrives soft and gets softer. The most common pre-purchase worry we hear is that it will feel thin like baby muslin, and the most common thing buyers report afterwards is how much softer it was than expected, then softer again after every wash.
How do I wash it?
Machine wash cool on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent, no bleach or fabric softener, then tumble low or line dry in the shade. It will crinkle. That's the weave, and it settles as you use it.
